The already superb sailing characteristics and performance of the regular 18 have been extended into a compact racing version – the FAREAST 18R – with a completely new deck, and deck gear layout optimized for racing.

This light weight performance yacht is still easy to rig and handle. Even kids can safely race this yacht making it ideal for training purposes. The overall dimensions of the yacht and the simple handling also make the FAREAST 18R a cost efficient and attractive solution for sailing schools.

The lifting keel and removable rudder of this light weight yacht provides the possibility of easy transportation on a trailer, which can be towed by a small sized car and makes it possible to move quickly and cost efficiently between different sailing venues. The FAREAST 18R is constructed using a polyester/foam-core sandwich which is vacuum infused.This advanced building technique guarantees a light and rigid hull.
