West Coast Marine has successfully supplied and installed a new state-of-the-art pontoon at Jetty No. 5 at the iconic Gateway of India, strengthening maritime infrastructure at one of Mumbai’s busiest waterfronts. The installation was carried out for the Royal Bombay Yacht Club (RBYC) as part of ongoing efforts of the MBPA and the RBYC to enhance safety, efficiency, and operational convenience for all users of private boats and yachts.
Jetty No. 5 serves as the primary access point for all private yachts and speed boats operating out of the Gateway. With increasing marine traffic—especially during weekends, peak seasons, and special events—the need for improved berthing capacity and safer passenger transfer areas has grown significantly. The newly installed pontoon directly addresses these requirements.
