For those who want to create a niche for themselves in the commer-cial yachting circles, we offer RYA Certification for Shore-based courses. The West Coast Marine Sailing School is a RYA Recog-nized Training Centre. The RYA (Royal Yachting Association) is the world's premier sailing institution with worldwide recognition and acceptance.
Shore-based Courses (RYA Certified):
The shore-based scheme teaches the theory of navigation & seamanship in the course of 16 to 40 hours duration plus home study. An RYA Certificate of Competence is recognized by maritime authorities throughout the world and is often one of the required qualifications for professional skippers
